VIDEO: Nick Young Celebrates A Three That Doesn’t Go In Against Knicks

The 2013-14 NBA season has been forgettable to say the least for the Los Angeles Lakers, but on Tuesday night, the team put on a show with Xavier Henry and Nick Young leading the way offensively.

Although Young had a solid performance for the Lakers scoring 20 points off the bench in 19 minutes, it wasn’t his scoring that he’ll be remembered for in this game. Young jacked up a three-point attempt at the end of the third quarter and before seeing it go down, which it didn’t, the sixth man turned around and put his arms up in celebration.

Former Laker Shaquille O’Neal and company replayed the missed three and celebration on NBA on TNT post game show. The TNT team elected Young’s premature celebration for the latest edition for “Shaqtin’ A Fool.”

The Lakers scored a franchise record 51 points in the third quarter ultimately leading to a 31-point blowout of Phil Jackson’s Knicks.

It was arguably the best performance of the season for the team that has struggled all season long. Young’s celebration on the missed three was the icing on the cake for the best quarter in franchise history.
