On Sunday night, the Lakers will face off against the division rival Phoenix Suns with two of their best players potentially sidelined. Pau Gasol has been ruled out while former Sun Steve Nash may miss tonight’s game according to Mike Bresnahan of the L.A. Times:

Gasol has missed the last three games due to being diagnosed with vertigo. Despite suffering through a disappointing season, Gasol has put up solid numbers with 17.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

As for Nash, the two-time NBA MVP has been trying to play as much as possible in the final few games of the season, but has struggled to stay on the court. Nash was able to suit up and play 15 minutes in the loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves scoring four points and dishing out six assists.

Along with Gasol being out and Nash also possibly on the shelf, Xavier Henry will miss tonight’s game against the Suns according to the Los Angeles Lakers Twitter account:

Another interesting starting lineup for the Lakers due to injuries with Kendall Marshall, Kent Bazemore, Jodie Meeks, Jordan Hill and Chris Kaman getting the nod.

Every game from here on out will be extremely important for the Suns with the team battling for playoff position. Phoenix is currently sitting in seventh place ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies with a 44-29 record.
