The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off the worst season in franchise history. After competing for an NBA title on an almost annual basis, the Lakers finished the 2013-14 NBA season with a record 27-55 resulting in missing the playoffs for only the third time since moving from Minneapolis to Los Angeles and the fifth time in franchise history.

As if suffering another disappointing season and seeing superstar Kobe Bryant go down with another season-ending wasn’t bad enough, a restaurant in Los Angeles accidentally or perhaps intentionally congratulated the Lakers for their “amazing” playoff run.

With the Los Angeles Clippers coming a couple wins shy of the Western Conference Finals and the Lakers not even coming close to clinching a playoff spot, this ad by Upper West is like pouring salt in an open wound for Lakers fans.

The Lakers weren’t expected to do much this season, but it was tough to watch regardless. A team so familiar with contending for titles or at least making the playoffs failing to make the postseason was a tough pill to swallow for the passionate fan base in Los Angeles.
