Steve Nash On LeBron James: ‘He Would Obviously Be A Dream Teammate’

With ample cap space this off-season, the Los Angeles Lakers will pursue the biggest free agents in the market including LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.

While there have been reports of the Lakers looking to shed Steve Nash’s contract to create more financial flexibility, the former two-time MVP says LeBron “would be a dream teammate” according to HoopsHype:

“It’d be amazing. I think anyone in the league would say they’d love to play with LeBron. He’s not only the best player in the league, but he’s also an incredible teammate and very unselfish. He would obviously be a dream teammate.”

While the consensus seems to be that James will eventually re-sign with the Miami Heat, there was a recent report suggesting his free agency decision is up in the air. With that being said, the Lakers are prepared to go “all-out” in hopes of landing not only the four-time MVP but Anthony as well.

After the worst season since moving to Los Angeles, the Lakers hope to maximize Kobe Bryant’s final two seasons in the NBA. With the Western Conference getting tougher each season, the franchise will need to surround the five-time champion with as much help as possible just to get out of the conference if they want to win their 17th championship.
