With the Los Angeles Lakers committing to Jordan Hill and Nick Young long-term, the team will have to find players willing to take a considerable discount to sign in order to fill out the roster.

One of those players was thought to be veteran Wesley Johnson, but according to Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News, Johnson might not be in the team’s plans moving forward:

So far, only a handful of players will be returning from last year’s roster. Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Robert Sacre and Kendall Marshall will be the only familiar faces in Los Angeles along with Hill and Young.

As Medina stated, Henry is getting interest from the team, but the Indiana Pacers have also expressed interest in the shooting guard/small forward to replace Evan Turner.

With the big names off the market, it remains uncertain what players will fill out the roster moving forward. Henry could very well be one of the few brought back, but Medina’s report doesn’t bode well for Johnson’s return to Los Angeles.
