In Taiwan, there are the Kobe Bryant “Achilles” statue as well as the Jeremy Lin statue in the same exhibit as part of a basketball exhibition.

During his most recent trip to Shanghai, two identical statues were also unveiled and placed outside of Kobe’s “House of Mamba.”

The two identical statues depict Kobe Bryant in one of his iconic dunks in the 2008 Olympics. Accordingly, the statues display Kobe’s number 10 Olympic jersey. Kobe has said he won’t be participating in the next Olympics, and these two recently unveiled sculptures are a fitting tribute to his Olympic career.

In contrast to the “Achilles” statue which only measures at 68 x 50 x 50 cm, both statues are life-size and hang by suspension chords guarding the entrance to Bryant’s house.

Kobe’s popularity overseas has only increased with time and that can only continue. While in China, the five-time champion promised the crowd another visit next year.
