The Los Angeles Lakers were unable to make the splash they wanted to in free agency this summer. Despite that, the team was able to assemble a solid roster while maintaining cap flexibility for next summer. The only players under contract for next season are Kobe Bryant, Julius Randle, Nick Young and Ryan Kelly.
The 2015 free agency class doesn’t have the big names of this summer, but there are a number of intriguing players who could be available, especially at the point guard position.

The Lakers have struggled at that position for years, especially on defense as the league’s top point guards consistently have their way with the Lakers defense. Nonetheless, there are six excellent options who will be free agents next summer.
Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe have both been linked as possible Lakers pursuits next summer. Rajon Rondo has also supposedly asked to be traded from the Boston Celtics. All three will be unrestricted free agents.
But there are three others who may be just as talented in Ricky Rubio, Reggie Jackson and Kemba Walker. The tough thing with these three is that they will be restricted free agents making them tougher to acquire, but they could still be had, and could be excellent additions.
So we went to Twitter to ask our followers, which of these six point guards should the Lakers pursue in free agency next summer. Here are some of the responses:
@TheeCoreyH @LakersNation love rondo but kemba is my guy

@TheeCoreyH @LakersNation hmmm i think bledsoe has the most potential of all. Reggie/Kemba would be my second choices.

@TheeCoreyH @LakersNation Bledsoe or Rondo for defense. Dragic if they want to run and gun.

Very little love for Rubio and Jackson as they were mentioned by very few fans. Kemba Walker and Goran Dragic got a little love, but clearly the two major choices in the fans minds are Eric Bledsoe and Rajon Rondo.
Personally, I would prefer to have Rondo if choosing between those two. He is championship-tested, and he is excellent at getting players the ball in their right spots. He makes his teammates better and that is something this Lakers team really needs.
If the Lakers are unable to get Rondo, I would keep an eye on Reggie Jackson, however. He has shown the ability to step up when needed for the Thunder, and with so much money being paid to Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka, there may be a chance for the Lakers to get him away.
