The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to work out James Nunnally this week, sources told LakersNation.com. Nunnally joins a growing list of players that have worked out for the Lakers over the past few weeks, as the Lakers look to possibly add to their roster before training camp begins.

Undrafted out of UC Santa Barbara, Nunnally used his stints in the NBA Development League (Texas Legends and Bakersfield Jam) to earn two call-ups, both successive 10-day contracts with the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers. While with the 76ers, Nunnally averaged three points, shooting 33.3 percent from three-point range in nine games. In his best game with Philadelphia, Nunnally played 21 minutes, racking up eight points. In four games in Atlanta, Nunnally averaged 4.5 points on 30 percent shooting.

Known for his shooting, in 35 D-League games last season, Nunnally averaged 18.2 points and 4.5 rebounds.

Among those to have already worked out for the Lakers are Michael Beasley, Julyan Stone, Bobby Brown, Dexter Pittman, Greg Stiemsma (signed with Toronto Raptors), Toney Douglas, and Daniel Orton, among others.

While the Lakers can have a max of 15 players at the start of the regular season, the team can bring up to 20 players to training camp. With Lakers training camp less than a month away, don’t be surprised if more names are added into the pool.
