The Los Angeles Lakers participated in another light practice on Wednesday morning, the day before their second preseason game against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
Nick Young was roaming the court at the Lakers practice facility, but due to just having had surgery on his thumb Monday, Young will not be allowed to practice for the next couple of days. With a smile on his face, Young playfully blew off the media saying he’s been on medication since the surgery.

Ryan Kelly (hamstring) and Xavier Henry (back spasms) are still out for tomorrow’s game. Wesley Johnson who left the Lakers first preseason game with a knee strain will play tomorrow.
Lakers head coach Byron Scott said expect guys like Ronnie Price who didn’t play in Monday’s game to get time in Thursday’s game. Steve Nash participated in about half of this morning’s practice, but Scott says he expects him to start tomorrow.
With Nash’s health during the season still uncertain, Scott said there could be times where Jeremy Lin sees a lot of minutes this year. Lin, who’s looking forward to shaking off the rust (shot 0-6 on Monday night) discussed playing off the ball:
“I like it a lot. I don’t always like it. But I think they’re always a time for it and a balance. In college all I did was run the lane and play the two guard. I don’t think I would ever just want to be a two, but for stints during a game, I’m definitely comfortable doing it.”
Scott also said he’s expecting big things out of Jordan Hill this year, expecting him to be a double-double player. Carlos Boozer’s eyes lit up when talking about playing alongside Steve Nash for the first time.
Steve is amazing man. He’s really good, man. I really enjoy playing with Steve. He makes the game really easy.”
The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors at Staples Center Thursday night.
