After two straight losses to open the season, the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center last Friday. Following two straight losses of 18 points or more, the Lakers looked to bounce back and be competitive against the Clippers. Kobe Bryant averaged 25 points in the first two games of the season, but the team had been struggling on offense as the next leading scorers were Wayne Ellington (13 points in one game) and Ed Davis (12.5 points in two games). Check out how the game went for the Lakers below:

Crowd on it's feet for Kobe's reverse slam.

A nice basket cut by Ed Davis got him a layup, and cut the Clips' lead to 31-22 after 12 minutes. Lin had 7, Hill 6, Kobe 5, and Griffin 11.

Second Quarter
Crowd actually sounded louder after Kobe's steal than after his vintage dunk in the first quarter.

Kobe just drained a deep 3 over DeAndre Jordan, reaching 11 points, and cutting LAC's once 15-point lead to just 3 at 45-42. 11-1 run.

Boozer surprised Griffin with a blow-by, resulting in an and-1 bucket, though he missed the FT (didn't stop him from yelling and-1 tho!)

Another highlight reel play from Kobe: Tremendous fake on way to rim for up-and-under layup.

Throw it down, Jordan Hill. Throw it down.

Kobe Bryant playing incredible bball tonight. Beautiful reverse. 16 pts, 6 assists and two steals. #Lakers

This is a pesky defensive lineup for the Lakers. Price & Clarkson are playing quick on the wings & really pressuring the ball/passing lanes.

Game Score: Lakers 90, Clippers 86
Fourth Quarter
Ed Davis doing all the dirty work.

Rookie Jordan Clarkson hit a timely 3, LAL's 5th of the game, to keep the home team up 95-90 early in the 4th.

Something I thought I'd never write: Jordan Hill destroying the Clippers with his mid-range jump shot.

Kobe and Lin disagreed about how to run a play … yet Lin rose for a fading, contested 3 to put LAL up 106-103.

Game Score: Lakers 111, Clippers 118
