Now that Rajon Rondo has officially been moved, it seems as if the trade talk is really picking up around the league. The latest rumor centers around another former all-star point guard on a struggling Eastern Conference team.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Sacramento Kings are talking with the Brooklyn Nets about point guard Deron Williams:
The Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings are discussing a deal centered on former All-Star guard Deron Williams, league sources told Yahoo Sports […] The talks have centered on sending the Nets point guard Darren Collison and forwards Derrick Williams and Jason Thompson as part of a multi-player package for Williams, league sources said.
This would be a major move for a Kings team that is trying to turn the corner behind star center DeMarcus Cousins. The addition of Williams to pair with Cousins and Rudy Gay would give the Kings an excellent foundation to build around.
The Nets have reportedly been shopping all three of their big money players, thoguh some have speculated that Brook Lopez would be the most likely player to be moved considering his age, potential, and length of his contract.
Williams has been mentioned in Lakers rumors before, but with him having two more full years on his contract at $43 million, the team is highly unlikely to make a move. With someone like Goran Dragic a possible target in the off-season the Lakers probably wouldn’t sacrifice their cap space on a declining player such as Williams.
