VIDEO: Nick Young Acts Like He’s Kobe Bryant, ‘Face Of Nike’

Nike debuted Kobe Bryant’s latest signature shoe the Kobe X this week and although Kobe, who’s recovering from a torn rotator cuff, was not on the Lakers Grammy road trip to show them off on the court, Lakers guard Nick Young had no trouble filling in his place.

Prior to the Lakers game against the New York Knicks, Young sported the new Kobe X’s in the Lakers locker room, while simultaneously referring to himself as the “face of Nike.” Young actually pretends to be Bryant, describing where his inspiration came from for his new shoe.

I’m like the snake. Basically, you can see like the King Cobra,” Young says while pointing to designs on the shoe. “They call me King Cobra.”

Sitting next to Young’s locker, is Lakers equipment manager Carlos Maples listening in on Young’s description of the Kobe X. Maples can’t help but chime in with a message from Kobe.

Actually, Kobe sent us a message this morning asking us not to embarrass his a** on TV with the debut of his new shoe,” Maples laughs after hearing Young’s impersonation.

The Swaggy P shenanigans continue when Young sees a pair of boxers left on his shirt in the locker room, which he assumes are Jordan Hill’s. Enjoy!
