As it has done for the past couple of years, the NBA will spent the month of March celebrating the Latin impact by having special Latin nights. According a NBA released schedule, the Los Angeles Lakers will participate in two games, March 5 against the Miami Heat and March 8 versus the Dallas Mavericks:
The team will wear special jerseys with ‘Los Lakers’ across their chests during the two games. Although the jerseys are nothing new, the Lakers can further recognize their Spanish speaking fans from Los Angeles and elsewhere around the nation and world.
Wednesday’s match with the Heat will be the second time the two teams met this season. In their first game, the Lakers spent the first seven and a half minutes without a single point. Despite falling into an early 18-0 deficit, the team nearly came away with a win only losing by three.
While the team is coming off a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Lakers continue to find ways to impress late in the season. The Lakers have won three of their last four games and take on the Charlotte Hornets Tuesday night before Wednesday’s ‘Los Lakers’ season debut.
