Most expect next season to be the final one in the long and illustrious career of Kobe Bryant. After three consecutive years being ended due to injury, many wonder how much Kobe truly has left in the tank.

One person who does believe that Kobe has at least one last moment left is his former teammate Rick Fox who spoke to Bleacher Report Radio and said that he can see one final moment where we’re blown away by Kobe:
Maybe there is one last ride and it can end up in at least a playoff run where you see a little bit of what Kobe was and he makes it to the playoffs and lifts his game again and we’re all shocked that he’s able to. But I really still think that there is one final moment in his career on the court where we’re blown away by what he is able to still do as an athlete.
Fox also added that he can see Kobe recruiting in free agency and passing the torch on to the next great Laker leader:
I think of the upcoming season, if it is his last, I think of the potential free agency in the off-season and what he can do in recruiting. I can think of passing the torch and some of his skill-sets, having been a champion for five seasons, and passing that on to a couple vets who are in the middle of their careers wanting to know how to get it done.
The Lakers have the means to drastically improve their team in the off-season and Kobe has spoken about being active in recruiting players to join him in Los Angeles. Players like Kevin Love or Tobias Harris could potentially be next in line for the Lakers throne and could learn a lot from Kobe in his final year.
Kobe is expected to be ready for the beginning of next season and if the Lakers are able to improve their roster, Kobe could indeed provide Lakers fans with at least one more moment before he calls it a career.
