The past two seasons have been rough for the Los Angeles Lakers organization, missing the NBA playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1974-1976.

With that being said, Lakers fans have also had to endure with the disappointment and frustration of seeing their beloved team go through a rebuilding stage of the organization, something the Lakers franchise has not been accustomed to doing.

A die-hard Lakers fan in Ontario, California mowed a pro-Lakers message into his front lawn, showing his loyalty and support of the team throughout the Lakers struggles the past few seasons. His lawn spelled out, “Lakers #1 4-Ever!”

He also took a jab at Laker fans who he believes have lost support since they haven’t contended for championships like they’re accustomed to. The Ontario man calling them “part-time fans” after finishing the 2014-15 season with a 21-61 record, the worst in franchise history, via TOUT:

“The worst season in history, that’s when we really find out who the Laker fans are. Who wants a part-time job? Most of us want a full-time, you know? That’s how we do it with Laker fans.”

Although it has been rough for both fans and the entire organization, the Lakers are now entering what many are calling the biggest off-season in franchise history. With ample cap space to sign big-name free agents and potentially as much as three draft picks, which includes a protected top-five pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Lakers are a team looking to get back to contention quickly.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the summer with the NBA Draft and free-agency, that can drastically turn the organization around in a heartbeat, but it all begins with the NBA Draft Lottery on May 19th to see if the Lakers will keep their protected top-five pick.
