Known as a fierce competitor, Los Angeles Laker star Kobe Bryant earned a reputation as a tough teammate that expects the best everyone. It should come to no surprise Bryant brings that demeanor into other aspects of his life such as parenting.

While announcing his new signature watch from Hublot, Bryant met up with The Insider’s Michael Yo and talked about his daughters. In the interview, Bryant joked about his daughters’ love lives while mentioning his eldest would have to wait a while until she started dating:
What age can she start dating? When she’s married.”
In a somewhat more serious manner, he also discussed how he would handle meeting any potential dates for his daughter:
The idea is to be as intimidating as I possibly can. Full Black Mamba face.”
Although said playfully, it wouldn’t be a complete shock if Bryant actually follows through with his intimidation tactics. His stare has been well known after cameras caught Bryant supposedly giving a glare towards former Lakers head coach Mike Brown. It also came out while Bryant appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and discussed his reaction to his teammates celebrating a rare win this past season.
Bryant hopes to be ready to play when the new season begins in the fall. Since his injury affected his shoulder and not the lower body, Bryant will be able to stay in shape with proper conditioning. He will also be working out with Julius Randle, who also is coming off an injury, over the summer and help the 2014 draft pick with his footwork.
Next season could possibly be Bryant’s last year as his contract is set to expire. Team president Jeanie Buss said the season will be a “celebration of Kobe Bryant”. The front office meanwhile hopes to build a contending team for Bryant and the Lakers in the off-season.
