Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak recently reiterated what he had felt about Kobe Bryant’s future with the team after next season. Kupchak believes it’ll be Bryant’s last season in the NBA and for good reason with the superstar no showing any indication to the contrary.

On Friday, after hearing all the talk of his potential retirement after next season, Kobe took to Twitter to address the issue saying the following:

All signs point to Kobe walking away after his 20th season in the NBA. Bryant will be 37 and only a couple of months away from being 38 in August of 2016. The five-time NBA champion will have to take a long and hard look at life after basketball to decide whether it is finally time to call it a career.

With Bryant already having a taste of life after basketball, with so much time away from the game due to injuries over the last few years, the future Hall of Famer seems to be more and more comfortable with the idea of retirement.

That stance may change in the near future depending on moves the team will make during the 2015 NBA Draft and in free agency this summer. As of right now, however, it appears the 2015-16 NBA season will be a farewell to one of the best players to ever player the game and perhaps the greatest Laker of all time.
