The Kevin Love rumor mill has been ongoing for months now and likely won’t stop until he makes a decision as to where he will play next season. Love never quite fit in with the Cleveland Cavaliers and many believe he would prefer to be somewhere where his role is greater.

Love can opt-out of his contract this summer or he can stay one more year and hit free agency in 2016 when the salary cap is expected to jump more by than $20 million. Adrian Wojnarowski appeared on Yahoo! Sports Radio and discussed Love’s options as transcribed by Matt Moore of CBS Sports:
He’s got options,” Wojnarowski said in a radio appearance on The Jason McIntyre Show on Yahoo Sports Radio. “He could stay another year (by not opting out) and go into free agency next year. But he’s had injuries, and he might just want to sign a four-year deal somewhere else.”
Everything will surely be considered with Love this off-season. He could stand to make more money by waiting one year for the salary cap jump, but he has been injury prone and may just want to cash in as soon as possible. Love has struggled with injuries throughout his career, but had been relatively healthy the last two seasons before his recent shoulder injury.
If Love does decide to leave Cleveland, all indications are that the Los Angeles Lakers would be the favorite to land his services, though the Boston Celtics have also been mentioned as major suitors. As it stands now, Love represents the Lakers best chance at a game-changing free agent addition this summer.
