After Jordan Hill signed with the Indiana Pacers in free agency, Robert Sacre became the second longest tenured member of the Los Angeles Lakers behind Kobe Bryant. After being selected with the 60th overall pick in 2012, Sacre averaged 4.6 points and 3.5 rebounds this past season.

While the first preseason game is not until Oct. 4 in Hawaii, it was announced Sacre will be a member of the Canadian Men’s National Team in Puerto Rico. Along with Andrew Wiggins and 11 athletes, Sacre will attend the Tuto Marchand Continental Cup exhibition tournament in Puerto Rico that begins on Aug. 23 via Real GM:

The Canadian Men’s National Team has announced the 13 athletes, who will attend the Tuto Marchand Continental Cup exhibition tournament in Puerto Rico from August 23-26, ahead of the 2015 FIBA Americas Men’s Championship in Mexico City.

Before the start of the off-season, the Lakers had a decision to make regarding Sacre and eventually picked up his team option. Although Sacre started in 18 games this past season, the Lakers acquired Roy Hibbert and Tarik Black is expected to make this year’s roster.

While the Lakers have 15 players under contract and are reportedly signing Michael Frazier, general manager Mitch Kupchak could still be looking to add another center or point guard as training camp approaches.
