Game Recap: Lakers Swept By Raptors Despite Julius Randle’s Double-double
Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

Heading into yesterday’s preseason matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings, there were numerous reports about Lamar Odom being found unconscious at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada. Since these reports, former teammates and media have shown their support and pray the former Laker will find a way to recover.

During the game against the Kings, Kobe Bryant suffered a lower leg contusion in the third quarter and did not return for the rest of the game. Following the game, Kobe did not speak to the media as the organization cited ‘personal reasons.’ According to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News, Kobe and general manager Mitch Kupchak were among those who visited Odom:

According to TMZ Sports (as of October 13, 2015 at 11:00 PM PST), Odom is in a coma:

Lamar is still in a coma and his heart is failing … our source says he is having serious problems with his kidneys and lungs as well. Khloe Kardashian is currently by his side.

Before the Lakers took on the Kings, head athletic trainer Gary Vitti talked about Odom to the current players and how he has suffered so many losses in his life. For a human being who has not only faced but conquered so many demons, his inviting personality endeared him to everyone he crossed paths with.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Odom and his family.
