One of the main concerns heading into the 2015-16 NBA season opener for the Los Angeles Lakers is the health of superstar Kobe Bryant. The five-time NBA champion hasn’t participated in practice since suffering a lower leg contusion during the preseason leaving his status for Wednesday’s game in doubt.

Fortunately, after missing multiple practices due to the leg contusion, Bryant was able to fully participate in practice on Sunday, according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell.

Los Angeles will play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Staples Center on Wednesday with Bryant possibly having a better chance of being in uniform to start the season.

With Kobe entering his 20th and potentially final season with the Lakers, the team is being extremely cautious with the face of the franchise moving forward. The 37-year-old veteran has dealt with numerous injuries over the last few years with many debating whether he’ll be able to make it through the 2015-16 campaign injury-free.

Bryant appears confident he’ll be able to bounce back and battle through another 82-game grind, but it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to stay healthy from here on out.
