Lakers News: Jordan Clarkson Says He Was ‘playing Selfish’ In Loss To Pistons

Last night, second-year guard Jordan Clarkson suffered a knee injury forcing him out of the game against the Denver Nuggets.

Clarkson immediately made his way to the locker room to get his left knee checked out and was diagnosed as a patellar tendon strain.

On Thursday, Clarkson received treatment on the injured knee and has been listed as questionable for Friday’s game, according to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times:

The Lakers will return to the Staples Center on Friday night to face the visiting Atlanta Hawks. If Clarkson is unable to play, Kobe Bryant may move back to shooting guard with rookie Anthony Brown likely being the starting small forward.

Clarkson has followed up an impressive rookie season with a solid sophomore campaign. The Missouri product has cemented his role as a starter in the backcourt alongside D’Angelo Russell and could be headed for a sizable raise this summer when he becomes a restricted free agent.

Clarkson is averaging 15.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 32.3 minutes this season.
