Kobe On Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson: ‘Those Guys Are Stone Cold Killers’
Kobe On Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson: ‘those Guys Are Stone Cold Killers’
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Kobe Bryant may be retired, but he is keeping himself very busy in his post-NBA life. Recently Kobe has appeared in commercials for the upcoming Copa America soccer tournament as well as the new Ghostbusters movie. He has also been working on his company Kobe Inc. and getting advice from some of the biggest directors in Hollywood.

Of course Kobe will never stray too far away from basketball. He made news when Draymond Green revealed that Kobe sent him a text following the Golden State Warriors loss in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Considering the Warriors wound up winning the last three games of that series, it’s safe to say that text may have made a difference.

Kobe recently appeared at the recent NBA 2K16 Road To The Finals Championship where he was interviewed by ESPN’s Cari Champion. When asked about who he thinks has that ‘Kobe instinct’ Kobe had this to say about Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson:

I get a kick out of watching Golden State play because they seem very unassuming. Klay and Steph seem very calm and nice guys. Those guys are stone cold killers man. They don’t care about what you think of them. They don’t care about if they make a game-winning shot or if they miss it. They’re out there to do their job and they have a very strong sense of the killer instinct.

Kobe has spoken in the past about players who he sees has that type of mindset and has mentioned the likes of Russell Westbrook. After their performances in these playoffs, however, it would be impossible not to include Curry and Thompson in that group of players with no conscience.

With Kobe now gone, there are very few players remaining who have the type of win at all costs mindset that he was known for. With guys like Curry and Thompson around, however, Kobe knows there are still some left.

Be sure to check out the full interview when it premieres on Thursday’s SportsCenter.
