The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t close out their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers the way they had hoped to, losing a game they dominated in the first half and getting knocked into the consolation bracket of the Las Vegas Summer League. The loss means that they will have just one final game against the Utah Jazz before breaking for the rest of the summer.
After suffering a scary fall, Larry Nance Jr. will not play against the Jazz. Initially, it was feared that Nance had suffered a broken wrist, but an MRI that was taken today showed just a sprain.
Point guard D’Angelo Russell will also be out of action in order to get some rest. The Lakers don’t want to risk injury to their promising young guard, and with his stint with the USA Select Team beginning shortly, rest is required.
It will be up to youngsters Brandon Ingram, Anthony Brown, and Ivica Zubac to carry the day for the Lakers. Can they pick up one final win? Check out the highlights below:
