The Los Angeles Lakers travel to Oakland tonight to face the Golden State Warriors.
This is the last game of the regular season and will try and secure their sixth straight victory. The Lakers will once again be without D’Angelo Russell who is with his family to grieve the loss of his grandmother.

1st Quarter
The Lakers started the game with a lineup of Jordan Clarkson, Tyler Ennis, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, and Larry Nance Jr. The Warriors countered with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, James McAdoo, and Zaza Pachulia.
The Warriors started the game quick by hitting a few three-pointers resulting in a eight-point lead five minutes into the contest. Luke Walton was forced to call a timeout to try and regroup his team before things could get out of hand.
Coming out of the timeout Clarkson drilled a midrange jumper but Curry responded with his third three-pointer of the game to increase the Warriors lead to 21-10. The Lakers caught a break when McAdoo missed a layup and Thomas Robinson took down the court for an easy slam dunk.
The Warriors lead grew to 13 points when Duran made one-of-two free throws after being fouled by Tarik Black on his drive to the basket. Durant went on to make the next to Warriors baskets before Clarkson got a much needed basket.
Ingram showed off his passing skills when he found Black under the basket for an easy slam dunk, but JaVale McGee responded with a slam dunk of his own on the following possession for the Warriors. A nice lob pass from Clarkson to Ingram and a Corey Brewer dunk cut the Warriors lead to 13 points.
Before the quarter ended Patrick McCaw took a Curry airball and slammed it back home. The Lakers trail the Warriors, 43-28, at the end of the first quarter.
2nd Quarter
The Lakers started the quarter well as a Tyler Ennis three-pointer and David Nwaba layup helped cut the lead to 10 points three minutes into the period. A Lakers turnover led to another McCaw dunk to get the Golden State crowd on its feet.
Another basket by McCaw, this time a three-pointer, increased the Warriors lead back to 13 points, but Randle responded with a 5-foot jumper on the following Lakers possession. Following a timeout, Durant checked back into the game and immediately knocked down a midrange jumper to give him 17 points on the night so far.
Nance Jr. scored a basket off a nice pass from Ingram to cut the Lakers deficit to 11. Back-to-back baskets by the Warriors, including another Durant three-pointer, increased the Warriors lead back to 17 points.
Coming out of timeout Ingram drilled a 19-footer to they and get the Lakers offense going but Durant quickly responded with a couple baskets, to increase his point total to 24 points. Thomas Robinson cleaned up a Clarkson blocked shot to help cut the Warriors lead to 14 points.
The Lakers trail the Warriors at halftime, 64-50. Durant leads the Warriors with 24 points at the break while Clarkson leads the Lakers with 11 points.
3rd Quarter
Golden State began the quarter by scoring two straight baskets to extend their lead to 18 points. The Lakers finally got a much needed baskets when Clarkson and Nance Jr. made consecutive baskets to halt the Warriors momentum for a bit.
Curry extended the Warriors lead to 20 points when he knocked down another three-pointer, but Ennis quickly countered with a three of his own on the other end. Nance Jr. showed off his range when he knocked a three-pointer from the top of the key to bring t Lakers within 14 points.
Another Curry three-pointer and McGee slam dunk prompted the Lakers to call a timeout with five minutes left in the period. Thopson drilled a 21-foot jumper out of the timeout to extend the Warriors lead back to 19 points. A beautifully ran fast break by Golden State saw Curry make a nice pass to McAdoo for an easy layup.
Consecutive turnovers by the Lakers led to easy baskets by Durant and Curry to further extend the Warriors lead to 23 points, their largest of the game so far, and force a Lakers timeout. After Curry made a pair of free throws, Brewer responded with a basket to give him four points on the night.
The Lakers trail the Warriors at the end of the quarter, 93-70.
4th Quarter
The Warriors started the quarter how they ended the third quarter, by getting easy baskets. Consecutive buckets by Brewer and Ennis forced Warriors coach, Steve Kerr, to call a timeout and regroup his team. Nance Jr. cut the lead to 20 points when he drilled a 19-footer from the right side of the court.
Randle then proceeded to score an easy layup that resulted in Kerr calling another timeout and ripping into his players. A blown layup by the Warriors led a Ennis easy layup on the other end of floor to cut the Warriors lead to 16 points with seven minutes remaining in the quarter.
Back-to-back baskets by Ennis and Randle got the Warriors attention but Ian Clark’s floater got Golden State back in control. A slam dunk by Damian Jones put the Warriors back up 16 points with less than four minutes left in the quarter.
Another Lakers turnover, their 18th of the night, led a layup by McAdoo on the other end of the floor. Before the quarter came to close Metta World Peace made his first basket of the night.
And just like that the Lakers season came to a close as they lose to the Warriors, 109-94. Durant lead all scorers with 29 points, while Clarkson led the Lakers with 17 points.
