Ever since he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2014, Jordan Clarkson has earned the reputation as one of the hardest working players on the roster.

Clarkson is known to always be in the gym, working on improving everything in his game be it a more consistent outside shot, or his individual defense. This summer is no different.

According to Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet, Clarkson has been working at improving his left hand:

It is great to see that Clarkson continues to identify places where he needs to improve and work hard at doing just that. With his quick first step and explosiveness, Clarkson would make himself even more difficult to contain with a strong left hand.

This summer has seen all of the Lakers’ young core hard at work at the practice facility in El Segundo. Seemingly every day the Lakers are posting pictures of Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram and others putting in the necessary work to improve their games.

Clarkson has had an interesting summer as his name has popped up in some trade rumors this offseason. Because of his contract, and his ceiling assumed to be lower than the other young players, it makes sense that he could potentially be moved as the Lakers look to improve the roster overall.

Despite everything, Clarkson just continues to put his head down and keep improving. It is anyone’s guess as to what his role on the team will be next season, especially if the Lakers draft another guard as is expected. No matter what it winds up being, Clarkson will undoubtedly be the best player he can be.
