Lakers Nation News And Rumors Recap: All The Latest On Paul George
Lakers Not Yet Among Teams Pacers Engaging In Trade Talks With For Paul George
Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

On Sunday, in the middle of everyone enjoying their Father’s Day, The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a bombshell: Paul George had informed the Pacers he would leave the team in 2018, with an eye on joining the Lakers. The news sent the rest of the NBA into a frenzy.

According to various rumors, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Clippers are interested in trading for the All-Star forward. While the Lakers have the upper hand in landing George, if they play their cards right, there is still a risk to sitting and waiting for George to hit free agency in 2018.

The Lakers may be forced to trade some of their young players and assets in order to ensure George doesn’t get trade to another team and change his mind after a season, though his camp is reportedly telling all teams that he is a rental.

With the draft two days away, and the Pacers looking to deal George sooner rather than later, the California native could find himself in purple and gold before the end of the week.
