The Los Angeles Lakers have grand plans this offseason. The front office hopes to sign two max-level free agents and combine them with the team’s existing young core led by Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Lonzo Ball.

Of course, adding two players such as LeBron James, Paul George, or DeMarcus Cousins would require adjustments from everyone. But there are some worries about potentially stunting the growth for the young core.

Ingram isn’t worried about that, however, and believes he would mesh well with two new stars. “I think I fit in fine,” Ingram said.

“I think it’s all about how we really want to play as a basketball team. In some areas we need better shooting, and whatever we can do in the paint.”

One thing that would help Ingram fit in is his outstanding versatility. He can play multiple positions on offense, guard multiple positions on defense, score inside and out, rebound the ball, and facilitate when necessary as well.

As Ingram says, there are different areas where the Lakers could use some improvement and which players they possibly bring in make a difference in how he would need to adjust his game. The Lakers have established the style of basketball that they want to play and as long as that is the focus, things should move forward.

With Ingram, as well as Kuzma, Randle, Ball, and Josh Hart, the Lakers have a foundation to build upon, and even if the Lakers are unsuccessful in bringing in a big name, the future is bright for the franchise. Ingram will be ready to take steps forward regardless of the results of free agency.
