Happy Birthday Lakers Legend Elgin Baylor

Lakers Nation would like to take a minute to wish a very happy birthday to Lakers legend Elgin Baylor, who is turning 77-years-old today.

Baylor was a longtime member of the Lakers, and teamed with Jerry West to make one of the most dynamic duos in NBA history. Alongside West, Baylor helped lead the Lakers to the NBA Finals numerous times during the 1960s.

Baylor was an 11-time NBA All-Star, 10-time All-NBA first team, All-Star MVP (1959) and NBA Rookie of the Year (1959). His number 22 was retired by the Lakers and he was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history.

His statistics were also staggering, as he averaged 27.4 points, 13.5 rebounds and 4.6 points throughout his career.
