The Los Angeles Lakers have announced the launch of “Lakers Team Up”, an employee service campaign and part of the Lakers’ continuing goal to be champions on the court as well as in the community.

Beginning in November, all Lakers employees, including head coach Mike Brown and his staff, General Manager Mitch Kupchak and the Laker Girls will be teaming up with national and community organizations such as Volunteers of America, the LA Food Bank, Heal the Bay, US Vets and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and will participate in various events and activities throughout the Los Angeles area.

Brown, Kupchak and the rest of the Lakers will be participating in many different activities to help support Los Angeles. Some of these activities include assembling and distributing care packages for the homeless, preparing and serving food to senior citizens and cleaning up local beaches. Lakers Team Up events will help everything from homelessness to education to environmental clean-up.

“We’ve always received such great support from the Los Angeles community. With the “Team Up” initiative we have the opportunity to give something back to the community by helping out various organizations that service many of our loyal fans.”

Lakers Team Up is just one more example of how the Lakers give back to their community.
