Magic Johnson and Larry Bird to Have Show on Broadway

Los Angeles Lakers star Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird were arch rivals on the basketball court during their days and fans were given years of exciting basketball when they both squared off. Now, fans can re-live Magic’s and Bird’s rivalry on Broadway.

Producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo plan to open their play “Magic/Bird” on March 21, 2011, with a first preview scheduled for February 27th.

The show is expected to be about 95-minutes and the six-actor show is the process of casting. Although finding actors that are as tall as Magic and Bird may be difficult, the producers have promised viewers and amazing and authentic show.
