Kobe Bryant Nursing Sprained Wrist Following Fall Against Clippers

After the Lakers fell to the Clippers last night in the pre-season opener there were plenty of questions surrounding the team and they needed to do moving forward.

While the game itself was relatively ugly for the Lakers, there was one scary moment when Kobe Bryant crashed hard to the floor after attacking the basket. Bryant stayed on the floor for a moment before getting up and flexing his wrist. It took Bryant a few minutes to get back into the flow of the game, but ultimately he did manage to finish out the night.

Now it’s being reported by Lakers reported Mike Trudell that Bryant indeed sprained his wrist during the play. However, Trudell is also reporting that Bryant participated in Lakers practice today and received treatment afterwards.

This is the first season in quite some time that Bryant hasn’t had to deal with any sort of nagging injuries entering the season, but considering last night was the first pre-season game there’s no guarantee that Bryant won’t be banged up again relatively soon.

Still, if there’s one thing we have learned about Kobe Bryant it’s that it will take much more than a sprained wrist to keep him out of the lineup.
