Lakers News: Murphy, Kapono out Wednesday vs. Jazz

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without forwards Troy Murphy and Jason Kapono for their game tonight at the Utah Jazz. Murphy is dealing with gastroenteritis while Kapono is with his family after the birth of his twins.

As a result, Luke Walton will see an increase in playing time for the Lakers tonight. On Wednesday night Walton stepped up big time for the Lakers, and played an important role for the team. If he is able to have another strong game tonight in the absence of Murphy and Kapono the Lakers will greatly improve their chances of winning their first road game.
