Poll Results: Fans Believe Gasol Deserves All-Star Nod

Lakers Nation asked its fans on Facebook  if they believe Pau Gasol deserves a spot on the 2012 Western Conference All-Star team and there was an overwhelming ‘yes.’

However, Gasol has some competition this year in the West and there is a good chance that he may not end up on the team. This season, Gasol has been averaging 16.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, which are down about two points and one rebound from last season.

On top of that, there are three forwards who many believe will get tickets to Orlando. Kevin Love is having another amazing season and his 25.3 ppg and 13.6 rpg will surely make him an All-Star. There is also LaMarcus Aldridge from the Portland Trailblazers (22.8 ppg and 8.7 rpg) and Rudy Gay from the Grizzlies (18.0 ppg and 6.5 rpg) who will likely beat out Gasol for the nod.
