Remember When: Pau Gasol Silences the Thunder in Game 6

With the Lakers set to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder for the first time this season on Thursday night, I thought it would be fun to look back at a rather famous meeting between the two teams from a few years ago.

The Lakers were the top seed in the 2009 NBA post-season, and were up against an upstart Thunder team that had earned the eighth seed. The series went back and forth until Game 6, when the Lakers were looking to eliminate Oklahoma City and advance to the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

It was a tightly played game that came down to the final seconds. Either the Lakers would advance or the Thunder would force a deciding Game 7 back at Staples Center for all the marbles.
