Lakers News, Rumors, and Recap: Kobe Bryant Expected to Play Friday

It is the night Lakers fans have been waiting for… the return of the Black Mamba! Kobe Bryant is expected to play tomorrow night against the Spurs, and considering the embarrassing loss on Wednesday, it will be nice to see him come off of the bench.

Kobe missed seven consecutive games with his shin injury. After the Lakers took a little time getting adjusted, things looked on the up and up for the team considering Kobe not suiting up. This past Wednesday marked the end of a 4 game winning streak by a Kobe-less Lakers, with the Spurs showing LA that they weren’t going to let them win a second time in one week. Despite last night’s win, I was nervous for tomorrow’s outcome, and am relieved to find out San Antonio will have to face a stronger Laker team this third time around.

Four games remain in the regular season for the Lakers. Every game is extremely important; we don’t want the Clippers securing the 3rd place seed in the playoffs due to our mistakes.
