Oddmakers Set Over/Under Metta World Peace Suspension

After throwing the elbow that sent shockwaves throughout the NBA, Metta World Peace is sitting at home waiting to feel the wrath of the NBA once again. There’s no doubt that World Peace will be hit hard for his vicious elbow to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s James Harden, but just how stiff a penalty is uncertain to say the least.

As of right now, the consensus around the league and amongst fans is that World Peace will get hit with a suspension anywhere from one game to missing the NBA playoffs entirely. Obviously, playing without World Peace in the first round will be tough for the Los Angeles Lakers, but missing him for the entire playoffs is potentially devastating to this team.

The real question here is:

How many games does Metta World Peace deserve to be suspended for?

  • 1 Game?
  • 2 Games?
  • First Round of the Playoffs?
  • The Rest of the Season?

Let us know what you think World Peace should be hit with from the NBA in the comments below and on Facebook!

In an interesting twist, oddmakers have gotten involved in the World Peace drama by setting an over/under of 7 1/2 games that he will be suspended. That is a harsh penalty for this elbow heard around the world, but it just might be right on the money.

With World Peace being held to a different standard than other players for his role in the Malice in the Palace, the NBA will no doubt make an example of the controversial forward as no altercation on the floor by this veteran will go without a severe penalty.

Even though Lakers fans will be pulling for a minor infraction here with a one, two or three games suspension, the reality may be much harsher with the NBA most likely leaning towards keep him out the entire first round of the playoffs. It remains to be seen what the league will do, but the fate of World Peace will be announced very soon.
