Lakers News: Team Officially Picks Up Option for Andrew Bynum

The Los Angeles Lakers have picked up the team option in Andrew Bynum’s contract. The 16.1 million dollar pick up means that Bynum will return to the Lakers for the 2012-13 season.

Bynum had a breakout season and was named to his first ever All-Star team. He emerged as one of the best centers in the league and the Lakers would have been nowhere if it weren’t for Bynum.
