Lamar Odom hasn’t played basketball in awhile, but may get the chance this summer.
The final 12-man Team USA roster is submitted on July 8, and with recent injuries, the line-up may shift a bit. Derrick Rose, Chauncey Billups, LaMarcus Aldridge and Dwight Howard have all been eliminated as potential candidates after suffering season-ending injuries over the course of the NBA season. Dwyane Wade could possibly miss the Olympics with a knee injury that needs some attention in the off-season. This means that forwards Blake Griffin and Lamar Odom may be getting a shot at the roster as Team USA’s biggest concern is in the front court.
In other news, Steve Nash may be a possibility for L.A. this coming season. Come July 1st, Steve Nash will become a free agent and plans to leave the Suns franchise. Many teams will go after Nash this summer with the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat being the most popular names.
Although Nash is in his late-thirties, he can surely help any team he goes to.
