Jared Dudley Wonders Why Dwight Howard Isn’t Interested in Lakers

Once the Brooklyn Nets made the first blockbuster trade of the NBA off-season to acquire Joe Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks, the consensus was that Dwight Howard was no longer an option for the Nets with little wiggle room in terms of being able to pay Deron Williams, Johnson and Howard. Even though it appears to be a stretch that the Nets will be able to land Howard via trade after this deal went down, Howard still remains adamant about wanting to be dealt to Brooklyn.

With Howard continuing to be stubborn about only wanting to play in Brooklyn, Phoenix Suns forward Jared Dudley wonders why the superstar center wants to go to a perennial bottom feeder over the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls or Dallas Mavericks via Twitter:

Hard to argue with Dudley’s tweet about Howard as it continues to make many around the league wonder why he’s not willing to play alongside Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose or Dirk Nowitzki. There’s no question that the chances of winning a title, which is supposedly the number one priority for the perennial All-Star right now, is much higher with the Lakers, Bulls or Mavs.

With that being said, it doesn’t make much sense that he’d want to go to a team that has yet to prove they can even make the playoffs. It’s hard to argue the fact that the Nets won’t be a vastly improved basketball team with Williams, Johnson and Howard in the mix, but they still may fall short to the Miami Heat year in and year out.
