Jerry Buss is in the news today, and it isn’t due to any ballsy trades. Unfortunately, the Lakers owner was hospitalized last night when he fell ill in his home from severe dehydration. This past December, Buss was treated for blood clots in his leg. Thankfully this morning, around 11 am, the official Lakers Twitter account made an announcement about Buss, stating he was doing much better and expected to recover soon.
In other news, after only spending one season with the team, Lakers assistant coach Quin Snyder has left to CSKA Moscow. Snyder will remain an assistant coach alongside former Lakers coaching consultant Ettore Messina, who left earlier this year to the European powerhouse. Although applying for the Charlotte Bobcats Head coaching position and backing out, Snyder had much potential in the NBA. With Snyder leaving the Lakers Coaching staff, the organization is already looking for replacements. As of this point, former Washington Wizards head coach Eddie Jordan is the leading candidate to take Snyder’s position.
