Kobe Bryant to Appear on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ After Dwight

A day after the newest superstar addition to the Los Angeles Lakers in Dwight Howard appears on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant will also sit on Ellen’s couch to talk all the recent moves the Lakers made in an effort to continue to be a legitimate NBA title contender in the last few years of his Hall of Fame caliber career.

As no stranger to talk shows and interviews, Kobe will be right at home on Ellen’s show on Friday.

This will be Kobe’s first appearance on the daytime talk show, but not the first time on the show as he recorded a “Be a Hero” segment for Ellen last year:

Kobe will appear on the show along with Selena Gomez and musical guest The Killers. The show will air on Friday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. PT on NBC.

It’ll be interesting to hear Kobe’s thoughts on the upcoming season with his new teammates in the fold. Along with the excitement of adding Howard, Kobe will almost certainly show his enthusiasm to play alongside two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash in the Lakers’ backcourt.

The combination of the Kobe and Nash in the backcourt as well as Pau Gasol and Howard in the frontcourt will formed one of the most dynamic teams in the NBA with an All-Star cast in the starting lineup.

It has also been reported that Metta World Peace is in phenomenal shape and impressing the Lakers’ coaching staff as well as new teammates Antawn Jamison during informal workouts at the team’s practice facility in El Segundo, California.

Needless to say, the excitement level in Los Angeles is at a fever pitch with avid fans of the Lakers eagerly awaiting the start of the upcoming season on Oct. 30.
