Lakers News: Jordan Hill Set to Return Against Clippers

After suffering a herniated disc in his back two weeks ago, Los Angeles Lakers’ forward Jordan Hill is set to make his return to the floor against the division rival Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night according Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski via Twitter:

Once the news of Hill’s injury was reported, there were a lot of doubts about when he’d be able to get back on the floor for the Lakers with all the similarities to Dwight Howard’s back injury that took months to recover from.

Fortunately, Hill’s back injury didn’t require surgery and is considered a minor injury in comparison to what Howard went through over the summer.

As one of the most important moves of the off-season, the Lakers made to bring back the up-and-coming forward by re-signing him to a two-year deal. Hill played a crucial role off the bench for the Lakers towards the end of the regular season and throughout the playoffs last year.

The news of Hill’s return is a step in the right direction for the Lakers’ coaching staff with the bench struggling over the last six games of the preseason. Hill’s presence in the frontcourt will be a breath of fresh air and a much-needed boost for a team desperately in need of a win.
