After being listed as day-to-day with a right foot strain, Kobe is officially a game-time decision according to Lakers coach Mike Brown via Twitter.

Along with Kobe’s foot strain, forward Jordan Hill is also day-to-day as he continues to recover from his back injury (herniated disc).

As for Dwight Howard, the Lakers newest superstar addition will get the start against the Mavs.

Dallas is also dealing with injury issues heading into the first matchup of the season with Dirk Nowitzki (knee) and Chris Kaman (calf strain). The recently signed Eddy Curry will get the start at center for the Mavs.
