Lakers Nation Wishes Happy Birthday to Center Shaquille O’Neal

shaqLakers Nation would like to take a minute to wish a very happy birthday to former center and future Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. O’Neal, who retired from the NBA back in 2011, spent eight years as a member of the Lakers. During his time in Los Angeles, O’Neal helped lead the team to three championships, winning NBA Finals MVP three consecutive years.

O’Neal will have his number 34 jersey retired in April, joining Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as legendary centers to have their jersey hanging in the Staples Center rafters.

So, a very happy 41st birthday to the Big Aristotle/Diesel/Big Cactus/Superman/etc. In honor of O’Neal’s birthday, here’s a great video of his top quotes from his playing days in the NBA.
