Earl Clark has been playing some excellent basketball as of late. His energy and effort have both been very instrumental in helping the Lakers get some key victories as they try to secure the final playoff seed out west. Tonight Earl made a terrific block in transition against Quincy Pondexter that provided some pretty good momentum for the Lakers moving forward en route to their 86-84 victory over the Memphis Grizzles.

After the game Clark was asked about the dunk, and what it took for him to make such an amazing play.
“I was just trying to time it,” Clark said. “I knew he was going to try and dunk it so I just waited for him, it was great timing, a great block, and I was able to recover it.”
Much has been said of Earl hitting a wall at some point over the past month due to some inconsistent play, but it is clear that he has found his way past that late in the season. His continued effort and ability to make plays like this have allowed him to maintain his spot in the Lakers rotation as they continue to push toward the playoffs.
