The Los Angeles Lakers have begun their 2013 postseason, but to the dismay of fans everywhere, the team is not off to a great start. The Lakers are currently facing a deficit in the series and need to make adjustments or else their off-season will be beginning very early.
The Lakers are playing the San Antonio Spurs in the first round have and as a seventh seed, their chances of winning the matchup are quite low. In this three game week, the Lakers managed to lose every one of them and are on the verge of getting swept.
With no Kobe Bryant in the lineup, the Lakers were put at a disadvantage before the series even started. To make matters worse, Los Angeles dealt with more injuries to their depleted back court, something that hurt them in the past three games.
It was another busy week for the Lakers, and here is a week in review.

The Lakers opened the postseason in San Antonio for their much anticipated game against the Spurs. Los Angeles did not play very well, but did have stretches of solid basketball. Even though the Spurs themselves did not have a great game, the Lakers could not find a way to steal the victory. The depth and experience of the Spurs was just too much, and they walked away with a Game 1 win.
After making some adjustments after the Game 1 loss, the Lakers took the court hoping to head back to Los Angeles with an even series. However, the team could not overcomes its injuries, and Tony Parker exploited almost every weak aspect of the Lakers’ defense. Los Angeles tried to feed its big men in the paint, but they were unable to score which led to yet another Lakers loss.
The Lakers had a horrible performance in their first game at Staples Center and suffered a 31 point loss. Nothing went right for Los Angeles, and the Spurs completely dominated the Lakers. Many people expected the team to improve their level of play once it got back home, but the Lakers disappointed everyone with their 120-89 loss.
