Former Lakers Assistant Quin Snyder Hired As Hawks Assistant

SnyderMike Budenholzer is the new head coach of the Atlanta Hawks, and he is beginning to assemble his group of assistant coaches while still acting as an assistant for the San Antonio Spurs during the 2013 Finals.

NBA.com reports that Budenholzer, long time assistant coach under Gregg Popovich, has hired Quin Snyder to be running the sidelines with him in Atlanta.

Snyder was once an assistant coach with the Lakers while Mike Brown was in control in Los Angeles.

Quin Snyder, a former assistant coach with the Lakers and 76ers and former coach at Missouri, has been hired to join new Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer’s staff as an assistant.

Prior to his time with the Lakers, Snyder coached in the D-League for the Austin Toros, where he was named 2008-09 D-League coach of the year. Snyder previously coached for CSKA Moscow, but will be making a return to the NBA after spending time with European basketball.
