Lakers News: Kobe Consulted David Beckham After Achilles Injury

After suffering the second most infamous Achilles injury in world history, a lot has been said about Kobe Bryant and his recovery process. While he’s hoping to return to the Lakers lineup sometime in November or December, currently he’s working on his conditioning and strength-building on his injured leg.

In a recent interview with ESPN Brazil (h/t Dave McMenamin), Kobe talked about talking with soccer star, and overall handsome dude, David Beckham, who suffered an Achilles tear of his own back in 2010 while playing for AC Milan.

Bryant has been a guy that constantly seeks advice from other athletes. After training with players like Hakeem Olajuwon in an attempt to add more moves to his on-court game, it’s not a surprise that he would ask Beckham for information on his own injury. Bryant has long been a cerebral-type player that’s always looking to improve his game or expand his knowledge, and talking to Beckham is just another example.

So, while we wait for Bryant’s return, it’s YouTube videos like this one of this first career basket that will have to serve as enough to get us through.
