Lakers News: Lakers’ Dwight Howard Comments On All Five Meetings

Dwight HowardLakers free agent center Dwight Howard wrapped up his last of five meetings this afternoon with the Lakers and will now take his time in making his decision.

Howard met with the Mavericks before the Lakers while he had discussions with the Rockets on Sunday and met with the Hawks and Warriors last night.

After meeting with the Lakers, Howard spoke to Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLA.com about how the meetings went:

Howard stated that he’d like to make a decision by July 10, but with his indecisive nature, it’ll be interesting to see if he sticks to his word.

Coming into his meetings, the Houston Rockets were seen as the early favorite, but Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak snuck into take the first meeting with Howard.

Present at Howard’s meeting with the Lakers were Kupchak, Mike D’Antoni, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash along with TWC executives, who were there to talk about developing original programming surrounding him.

Regardless, it sounds like Howard enjoyed meeting with the various teams and it remains to be seen if he’ll remain with the Lakers or bolt to another city.
